Float trips are extremely condition dependent and changes may be made as the trip date nears. This can be a change to a walk and only trip or a trip cancellation, if you choose to not want the walk and Wade trip change. This will only occur if conditions are not right for a float trip. This can include low river conditions, inclement weather, and also temperature extremes. In the event that a change will need to be made the final price of the trip will be adjusted accordingly. Any changes are done for the safety of everyone that are part of the trip. Drift Boat trips are a combination of walk and wade and float. Periodically, if a section of river presents a walk and wade opportunity, we will anchor the boat and fish a section of river. While floating in the drift boat, the guide will do most of the work. All you have to do is cast where I advise you too. You will be fishing from an Adipose Runoff.
Float Trips (November 7th-May) – $450 for two anglers; $375 for single angler
Walk and Wade Only Trips (5-6 hours)
Trips After November 1st- $400 for two anglers ($175 additional angler fee; 3 angler max); $325 for single angler
**Douglaston Salmon run Trips (5-6 hours)
September 9th-September 30 Early Salmon Season- $375 for two anglers; $325 for single angler. ($175 additional angler fee; 3 angler max)
Trips October 1st-November 1st (Peak Salmon Season)-$450 for two anglers (if a 3rd angler wants to be added an additional $175 fee will be added); 350 for single angler.
Trips After November 1st- $400 for two anglers ($175 additional angler fee; 3 angler max); $350 for single angler
Deposit & Cancellation Policy
A 50% deposit is required to hold the date of the desired trip date and must be received within 7 days of request to book. Final payment of any scheduled trip is due before or the day of the trip before departing to the river. Final payment in cash, Venmo or Square invoice.
Deposits can be paid electronically through Venmo or an invoice sent through Square (if requesting square a 3% fee will be added) also deposits also can be paid via check. Checks should be made out to Nikolaus Reff and mailed to the below address.

Any trip cancelled before 30 days of the intended trip date, the deposit will be refunded. Any trip cancelled less than 30 days before the scheduled trip date the deposit will not be refunded. Any trip cancelled less than 30 days before a scheduled trip does not receive a deposit refund to cover costs, lost wages, and an inability to rebook on short notice.
Weather happens. All water and weather related cancellations are done at the discretion of the guide. The guide cannot control mother nature and depending on the type of trip that is booked, will dictate the guides decision to cancel a trip due to weather or water conditions. This is for the safety of the guide and clients.
**Disclosure, Responsibility and Liability**
Reff Water Fly Fishing and Nikolaus Reff assume NO responsibility however caused for injury, loss or damage to persons or property in connection with any guiding services rendered. All participants of guiding excursions agree to the aforementioned statement of disclosure, responsibility and liability at the time of booking. Reff Water Fly Fishing have the right to publish any photos taken while on a guided trip.
**All anglers will be provided with water and non-alcoholic beverages (see guided fishing page regarding Reff Water’s alcohol policy during trips)
**Trips requested to be on the Douglaston Salmon Run require the purchase of a river access pass, that is not included in the guide fees and must be purchased from Douglaston Salmon Run or by the guide on your behalf. You can purchase these passes by following the provided DSR link.
**Tipping your guide. While tipping is not required and a guide will never ask you for a tip, a tip at the end of a long day helps show your guide how good of a job he did. The tip should reflect the level of satisfaction you have with the trip and your guide.
