Early Salmon River Trips (September 1st-14th)
All salmon trips are on the DSR Trips this time of year begin early in the morning. Meet up times will range from 5am depending on the DSR’s release schedule and if you purchased a premium pass. Trips Wrap up at 1pm unless otherwise discussed. Morning or evening trips can be arranged. Pass cost is based on the half day rate of the DSR. Trips are not a “half day” they are a 7-8 hour trip depending on release time. If you would like to purchase a “full day” pass you are more than welcome too.

2 Anglers-$600 ( Equipment, Flies and Lunch)

*There is a 4 angler max. If you would like more than 4 guests, another guide can/will need to be arranged to accommodate.
DSR Fall Steelhead:
8 hours (for 2 anglers or more) does not include pass fee. Lunch, flies, and equipment included
1 Angler-$$400 for 8 hours
2 Anglers- $625 (8 hours)
3 Anglers- $900 (8 hours)
4 Anglers- $1200 (8 hours)
*Fall steelhead will ONLY be available on the DSR.
Winter-Spring Steelhead (After November 15th):
Flies, and equipment included (not waders or boots)
1 Angler-$350 for 8 hours
2 Anglers- $600 (8 hours)
3 Anglers- $775 (8 hours)
4 Anglers- $950 (8 hours)
** Please be sure to read the deposit and cancellation policy at the bottom of this page. After booking a trip you will be sent a lunch questionnaire as well as a liability form to be signed before the trip.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy
A 50% deposit is REQUIRED to hold the date of the desired trip date and must be received within 7 days of request to book. If a deposit is not received within 7 days, unless discussed otherwise, the date will be available for another client to book. Final payment of any scheduled trip is due before or the day of the trip before departing to the river. Final payment in cash, Venmo or Square invoice.
Deposits can be paid electronically through Venmo or an invoice sent through Square (if requesting square a 3% fee will be added) also deposits also can be paid via check. Checks should be made out to Nikolaus Reff and mailed to the below address.

Any trip cancelled before 30 days of the intended trip date, the deposit will be refunded. Any trip cancelled less than 30 days before the scheduled trip date the deposit will not be refunded. A trip cancelled the week of will still need to settle the trip balance due to lack of rebooking on such short notice. Your payment will be taken and a new trip date will be arranged. Any trip cancelled less than 30 days before a scheduled trip does not receive a deposit refund to cover costs, lost wages, and an inability to rebook on short notice.
Weather happens. All water and weather related cancellations are done at the discretion of the guide. The guide cannot control mother nature and depending on the type of trip that is booked, will dictate the guides decision to cancel a trip due to weather or water conditions. This is for the safety of the guide and clients.
**Disclosure, Responsibility and Liability**
Reff Water Fly Fishing and Nikolaus Reff assume NO responsibility however caused for injury, loss or damage to persons or property in connection with any guiding services rendered. All participants of guiding excursions agree to the aforementioned statement of disclosure, responsibility and liability at the time of booking. Reff Water Fly Fishing have the right to publish any photos taken while on a guided trip.
**All anglers will be provided with water and non-alcoholic beverages (see guided fishing page regarding Reff Water’s alcohol policy during trips)
**Trips requested to be on the Douglaston Salmon Run require the purchase of a river access pass, that is not included in the guide fees and must be purchased from Douglaston Salmon Run or by the guide on your behalf. You can purchase these passes by following the provided DSR link.
**Tipping your guide. While tipping is not required and a guide will never ask you for a tip, a tip at the end of a long day helps show your guide how good of a job he did. The tip should reflect the level of satisfaction you have with the trip and your guide.
